I am writing to apply for the position of Nutrition Intern under Family Health Portfolio. A doctorate in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Delhi, I am looking forward to facilitate my skills and abilities to your esteemed organization to have a knowledgeable and learning exposure for upcoming opportunities in the field of nutrition. Upon review of the position requirements, I believe that my qualifications and detailed research experience during masters (M.Sc. Food and Nutrition) and Doctorate (Ph.D. Food Science and Nutrition) are closely relevant to qualities you seek in an eligible candidate.

My doctoral research has enabled me to understand the in-depth attributes of both qualitative and quantitative research. I have explored the ways and approaches to reintegrate the waste generated from food processing back into the food chain by recognizing the rich nutrient potential of vegetable waste. The objective met was to develop a feasible, affordable and stable alternative source of antioxidants from the agro-industrial waste generated by food industries. In addition to this detailed research of 6 years, I have also done a dissertation on probiotic nature of traditional Indian dairy drink (Mattha) during course of M.Sc. to identify the probiotic strains in our indigenous fermented dairy drink using different qualitative and quantitative microbiological methods. I have four publications of my research work published in UGC approved Journals and have presented my work in International conferences on Food and health, agriculture and Food Sciences and Technology

My research experience in food and nutrition science has provided me ample opportunities and understanding of data management, scientific writing and analytical and interpersonal skills. I am determined to learn  new skills and take new challenges for enhancement of my career by working for the growth of an organization with a positive approach and ensuring high quality outcomes.
