Job Description
The Role
The primary role of this position will be to administer and implement IT security controls on YouGov Information assets worldwide. This role will also help provide support and assistance to our global IT team when required.
In this role, you will administer the security systems protecting valuable information assets by analysing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Service Desk.
You will also implement new security solutions as part of ongoing improvement to security controls and risk mitigation.
You will be involved in Global IT projects with the larger IT team and be expected to help contribute in these projects, along with learning new skills and technologies as you go along.
What will I be delivering?
Help maintain security solutions such as Antivirus, EDR, DLP, Patch Management, Vulnerability Analysis, Mobile Device Management, Firewall, IPS/IDS for Company devices.
Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to IT security incidents and prioritizing these as needed.
Assist with the onboarding process of new users and the off-boarding process of users leaving YouGov.
Assist in the implementation of new security solutions.
Produce accurate reporting on security solutions including antivirus, mobile device management and patch management.
Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
Qualifications
Technical competencies
Educated to degree level or holds a professional qualification (ITIL Foundation, PRINCE2 Foundation, MCSA Desktop Support certification, CompTIA, CEH) or equivalent.
Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 operating systems.
Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy and Microsoft Exchange 2013 and above.
Working knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2 and above operating systems.
Working knowledge of Microsoft SCCM.
Working knowledge of service desk ticketing software.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi and LAN concepts.
Experience with security (i.e. Anti-virus, Firewall Rule Review, Secure configuration, vulnerability assessment and patch management solutions, IPS/IDS Monitoring).
The following experience would be a benefit:
Experience with DLP solutions.
Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam.
Experience with Office 365.
Experience working with a virtual desktop environment (i.e. VMWare View).
Experience with server virtualization (i.e. VMWare or HyperV).
Experience working with Mac OSX.
Experience working with Linux.
