The Agoro Carbon Alliance is creating a new solution to our planet’s carbon challenge that’s grounded in the soil. Agoro Carbon addresses a key global problem, the impact of agriculture’s global greenhouse gas emissions on our climate and the implementation of sustainable carbon capturing potential at farm while providing a new income stream to farmers worldwide. Our passion lies in developing a global carbon alliance built around a portfolio of carbon smart farming practices that help farmers reduce their environmental footprint. As one of the early movers in this market, we are using our knowledge on carbon practices, our global presence, our digital and data capabilities and our strong relationships with the food value chain to pioneer an industry shaping business.
About the role
As the HRBP for India you have the opportunity to join a team that is just starting out. While we have the opportunity to apply or adopt HR processes and services already established within Yara, the plan is for Agoro to establish its own processes and define its own services as it makes sense.
We are therefore looking for an experienced HRBP, who has a passion for people and for creating an engaged and happy workforce. We are looking for someone who is data driven and strives for continuous improvement. You’ll be part of a global team of HR experts who will share their experiences and collaborate on making the HR discipline a center of excellence.
Remote friendly, this role can be based anywhere across India.
What you will do
Responsible to effectively plan and implement the HR Strategy for India
Periodically review organization structure for consistency with company’s strategy and efficacy of outputs
Manage recruitment and coordinate the onboarding process of new hires
Act as a trusted advisor to managers, leading them through the relevant people management processes (e.g. performance management, succession planning, and talent development)
Guide managers on compensation programs, salary review processes, incentive plans, position gradings and promotions
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Identify training needs for the unit and work closely with leaders to execute the training
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation once a stand-alone company
Ensure compliance with legal requirements as well as with Yara HR processes and policies
What you will bring
BS in Business Administration, HR, psychology or related field
Several years of experience in HR Business partner roles
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management and relevant employment laws.
Forward-thinking and analytical with business understanding and influencing skills
Dynamic collaborator with integrity and ability to communicate at all levels
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in and with diverse teams, and cross borders
Self-driven, structured and detail oriented
Fluent in English, any other languages a plus.
