Market Job Description
Provides leadership for a small portfolio of in regional locations that consists of Restricted Technology rooms, 3rd Party colocation facilities, and Administration Technology rooms. Support focuses on planning, forecasting, day to day operations, and optimizing Technology Hosting and Non-Hosting environments. Position will report directly to the India & Philippines (I&P) Leader with a dotted line alignment to the Data Center Management (DCM) Leader of the International space in the U.S.
Responsibilities
include providing a governing focal point for all Technology Room activities, ensuring site integrity and systems availability through the enforcement of corporate security and governance policies and controls, information processing facility specifications, information technology standards, processes and disciplines. Provides proactive identification of risk and the creation and execution of risk remediation plans. Provide the appropriate leadership necessary to partner to optimize and efficiently manage our raised floor environments according to business goals, objectives, and standards. Inspires the cooperation and confidence of others and effectively uses power and influence to insure quality support, solid controls, facility stability, uncompromised service delivery and strategic focus.
Accountable for establishing, standardizing and implementing site specific operations procedures, standards and guidelines in collaboration with the Corporate Properties Group and other Technology Room partners such as Network, Storage, and Voice.
Responsible for providing a governing focal point for all site activities, ensuring site integrity and systems availability through the enforcement of corporate security and governance policies, information processing facility specifications, information technology standards, processes and disciplines. Provide for proactive identification of risk and the creation and execution of risk remediation plans. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas; Oversight responsibility for the Technology portfolio physical security. Responsible to review and decision requests for room access based on a permanent, temporary basis. Accountable for establishing, standardizing and implementing site specific operations policies, standards and guidelines in collaboration with the Corporate Properties Group and other site management partners. Accountable in ensuring no data or data bearing components leave the room and no access is granted to the room without a business need. Oversee the destruction of onsite media to limit the risk of external exposure during handling and transportation. Accountable for enforcing governance and compliance guidelines to protect our company’s reputation, values and customer’s privacy. Accountable for data center site Business Continuity Planning and execution along with coordinating efforts with enterprise BCP scenarios. Influence development of new processes in relation to installation, decommission, physical security, facilities management, layer1, electrical and mechanical maintenance and operations and influences resolution. Responsible for ensuring all key Technology metrics are met on a daily basis as failure to meet any of them can cause external impact to the business.
Will directly manage vendor relationship with our 3rd party co lo providers including leading monthly operational meetings and quarterly scorecard meetings. Will lead multiple site support personnel while also having direct involvement and impact on day to day activities and project work streams within each Technology room.
Market Skills and Certifications
Software/Tools: Service Now, MS office, DCIM software
Key Skills: Management and/or leadership experience.5+ years overall data center or Technology Hosting environments experience. 2+ years of experience in a management or leadership position with dotted line or direct responsibilities. Must have proven experience in: client relationship management, operations management, and project management as well as demonstrated relationship management ability with a medium-sized business unit or multiple, large internal technology groups. Required Qualifications: 7+ years of experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), demonstrated through work, military, or education 7+ years of experience in
production supporting, including problem identification, ticket documentation, and customer/vendor relations, demonstrated through work, military, or education 7+ years of experience
Preferred Skills:
Detailed prior experience in operations management with strong skill set especially around customer and delivery focus
Teamwork: Able to lead teams others with influence as well as authority
Demonstrated ability to write and communicate professionally
Experience with some form of ticketing system (Remedy based systems preferred)
Willingness to travel once per quarter
Some knowledge of formal Project/Program Management
