Key missions of the position:
Ac tive Business Development with key external stake holders to e nhance order intake and improve market share from new products in transit portfolio for Indian Railways and Metro Projects business . Buil d Customer Intimacy across the value chain , Enhance the W abtec brand in the market and Support the M & A strategy for business growth
Main responsibilities:
Business Development for New Product Introduction through active engagement with all external stakeholders in Indian Railways, End user metros, Rolling Stock car builders, General Consultants, Policy makers
Build Go to Market strategy & Develop Business cases for internal stakeholder approval
Proactively feed market information to Key Account Managers and Sales team leaders and build periodic reports of business opportunities & customer engagement in Sales Force tool
Establish customer intimacy to discuss and influence technical specs that can enable the vendor qualification & most competitive commercial offer for Wabtec subsystems
Lead the preparation of Quarterly / Half yearly Customer Newsletter for Wabtec India
Organize external events, workshops and facilitate participation in technical conferences to promote Wabtec products and branding in collaboration with Country Communications leader
Actively support the preparation of the Annual Budget and STRAP for the Transit business together with the Sales team leaders
Actively work with the Sales & Marketing Director to develop Capture plans to maximize business with existing customers and win business from new potential customers in both IR Mainline and Metro Rolling Stock segment
Work with Head of Mergers & Acquisitions to identify strategic advisors & consultants for M&A opportunities in India & enable a GO – NOGO decision on identified targets together with all internal and external stakeholders
Support business development of Wabtec subsystems through establishment of agent agreements in identified geographies like Bangladesh & Sri Lanka
Location: Delhi
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferably in Electrical or Mechanical, MBA in Marketing will be an
added advantage.
Professional Experience:
15 plus years preferably with a large multinational with strong presence in the railway sector. Experience in Sales & Marketing , Business Development , Project Management type Customer facing roles is mandatory

Level
Business Development / Sales & Marketing skills: At least 12 – 15 years of experience in customer facing roles
Domain Knowledge – Railway market and Industry players: At least 10 years in rail transport industry
Communication & Presentation skills: High level – Minimum 8 on a scale of 10
Negotiation skills, Ability to connect with customers: High level – Minimum 8 on a scale of 10
Decision making ability, Leadership and Team working skills: High level – Minimum 7 on a scale of 10
Languages: English & Hindi – Mandatory. Foreign language – French / German is an added advantage but not necessary
Other Specifications: In addition to defined competencies and professional experience, the candidate must be highly energetic , passionate with highest level of integrity towards ethics and compliance
