The Blades, Procurement Department is part of the overall Vestas Global Procurement Organisation. Blades procurement is responsible for the management and development of the Global supplier base within the Blades product area. The Department is split into 4 commodities with different system and materials responsibility. The Blades procurement team is based of 26 people located in Denmark, China, Mexico, India, Portugal, Germany and Brazil. The procurement work within Vestas is managed through cross functional teams in the context of Category Management. We are responsible for developing the supply base short, medium & long term with a view to always be able to satisfy requirements (KPIs) regard safety, quality, delivery and cost and thereby contribute actively to improve the competitive strength of the Group.
Responsibilities
Global responsible for specific materials area within the commodity of Chemicals, VPM, LPS & Core Materials
Responsible for regional support of the commodity in the APAC region
Supplier Account Manager (SAM) for defined suppliers
Support defining the Commodity Strategy based on regional analysis and insight
Continuously provide the CMT with detailed knowledge about suppliers and supplier market(s) from the geographical area
Support the CMT with data collection and data analysis (Market analysis, Supplier identification, Footprint analysis, RfX analysis)
Participate or guide negotiations in accordance with the negotiation process
Responsible for selection, qualification, negotiation, contracting and integration of new suppliers to the extend agreed with the Purchasing Manager
Mandated and obliged to agree/accept the Commodity Strategy on behalf of the region, and obligated to implement it accordingly in the region (at supplier level)
Supplier Relationship: Establish and develop partnership with selected suppliers in order to gain up-to-date advantage for Vestas including KPI’s
Handle the introduction of new parts with suppliers – ensure coordination and implementation in accordance with processes and main stakeholders from SCP, Logistics, QSE, Manufacturing etc
Work with regional team to ensure the performance of KPI’s
Qualifications
Any Engineering graduate with minimum 10 years of strategic purchase experience
You are an efficient communicator who are experienced in negotiating contracts on a high professional level in an industrial company
You master English both verbally and in writing
You are an skilled IT user (SAP and Microsoft Office)
