What you will be doing:
Perform and assist with the monthly, quarterly and year-end process and daily operations of the sub-ledger accounting department.Prepare journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations including, but not limited to, prepaid, intangibles, goodwill, fixed assets, CIP and project accounting.Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness and US GAAP compliance.Maintain proper SOP, accounting methods, policies and procedures.Prepare and complete for both internal and external reporting schedules as well as work with external auditors to address issues as needed.Support SOX 404 compliance testing and ensure related documentation is updated timely.Involved in ad hoc projects which may arise, focusing on process improvement for the broader GL Accounting ensuring technical compliance.Other Accounting Operations duties as assigned.
What skills, experience and education you need as a team member to succeed:
Bachelors in Accounting or Finance is required.2+ (Staff) years of relevant experience in general ledger experience. Oracle Financials experience is a big plus with a solid understanding of sub-ledger module and related processes.Solid understanding of US GAAP, with emphasis in the areas of intangibles, goodwill, fixed assets, CIP, and project accounting.Outstanding verbal and written communication and analytical skills are required.Proficiency in Excel is required, data manipulation, pivot tables and V-look up functions.Experience with Oracle ERP and OBIEE is preferred.Excellent time management skills, able to meet daily and monthly deadlines.Ability to work in a matrix team environment.Attention to detail, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement.
