Varian Information Technology is searching for a candidate that will help support our Enterprisewide Quality Management application(s) administration, development, and project management. The candidate is expected to provide functional ongoing applicational support, lead IT projects, and work with multiple business units globally related to these Quality system applications.

Responsibilities

This position is part of a team responsible for the Enterprisewide IT Quality Management applications, administration, development, and project management with support activities.
The person is expected to provide functional ongoing support and for delivering on IT projects including strategic initiatives for multiple business units globally related to Quality system applications.
Provide application support and continuous improvements for application systems, currently in production, and used extensively for day to day operations. Primary focus will be on the following processes and applications: Quality Document Control/Management (OpenText Content Server), Quality System Regulation processes (EtQ Reliance Platform and Modules).
Work closely with IT Quality Systems Manager to fulfill defined business goals. Provide project management and support solutions in the areas of Quality Management Systems, with knowledge of different quality and document control business processes, and integration aspects thereof.
Partner with RAQA and other business groups and Varian IT to support and deliver on IT projects across multiple business units. The person will be involved in leading business sessions to define high level business goals/vision, extract business requirements, software selection, define performance indicators, and help architect the solution on various IT platforms.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 3 to 5 years of industry/ IT experience, including experience with small to medium scale enterprise projects
The candidate should have end-user and administrative application support experience
The candidate should have successfully participated in at least 1 full life cycle IT project implementing Document Control or other Quality Management systems and modules
The candidate should have experience with design/configuration in OpenText Content Management suite , and preferably have experience with EtQ Reliance or equivalent Quality Management systems
The candidate should be able to understand quality system regulations and related quality processes within business functions
Proficiency with SQL, JavaScript, and Python scripting
Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
Strong oral and written communication skills and comfortability interacting with multiple levels of business management
Experience conducting requirements analysis, meeting with business owners, and performing current state system analysis.
Good analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills and quick learner of new technologies
Experience with application system integrations with other primary business applications preferred
Professional qualification (e.g. PMP) preferred
