The Role:
Key focus of this role is going beyond the legal basis of employment relationships, add the social and psychological dimensions of trust & commitment related to basic human rights and engage in the manner how organization prioritizes and treats its people.
This role provides learning and exposure opportunities to sharpen expertise in the field of employer relations, grievance counselor and lead facilitator of TPPC & Management Forum.
Your Impactful goals will include:
Formulate the strategic and operational direction of the Employer Relations (ER) function and ensure timely roll out of all ER initiatives in the company
Drive the employee involvement agenda in line with Telenor Group’s ER initiatives & policies
Build competencies of the Telenor Pakistan People Council (TPPC) and enabling this forum to identify and lead real issues in the organization
How will your typical day look like?
Formulate the strategic and operational direction of the Employer Relations (ER) function which revolves around designing ER objectives & policies, develop employee awareness programs, targeted communications, evaluation of employee relations (ER) services and procedures for organization
Support the business in resolving matters of conflict and employee grievances. Act as independent mediator/investigator where appropriate and be involved in an advisory capacity (as the management member of any formal processes and to attend formal hearings)
Collaborate with other HCD team members to coordinate institutional programs related to work-life issues, harassment, and employee rights within the Telenor framework
Manage company employees grievance, appeal procedures and assist in the coordination of grievances management and reviews as appropriate. Also conduct data analyses and develop insightful information for senior management’s decision-making on important issues.
Develop new programs, training & awareness initiatives, and other outreach efforts in response to emerging law, policies, and institutional priorities using digital and other mediums
Coordinate the activities of the TPPC as a facilitator and ensure its active and efficient working in order to deliver the leadership expectations which includes scheduling the monthly and annual activities for TPPC forum, keep follow up of important challenges brought by elected members, plan biennial elections campaigns and facilitate in designing any regular roadshows & engagement activities
Provide ER and compliance related support to all local BUs i.e. Telenor PK, LDI and GSS
Lead project-based initiatives i.e. annual conflict of interest declaration initiatives, process and policies review

What we’re looking for?
Education: Minimum Bachelors in the field business management, social science or human resources. Having formal certifications in areas of Employer Relations, People Counseling or Labor Laws will be additional advantage.
Work experience: 4 to 6 years of work experience in HR / ER preferably as a generalist in a manufacturing / non-manufacturing environment. Experience of dealing with labor unions and IR matters will be given preference.
Functional Skills:
Strong listening, influencing, problem solving and people counseling skills
Proficiency in written & verbal communication and presentation skills
Self-driven, ability to work independently and dealing difficult situation while ensuring confidentiality.
Proficiency in report writing, Microsoft excel, power point and share point skills
Knowledge of ER procedures and processes such as employment tribunals, disability, diversity harassment and equal opportunities
Sound and up-to-date knowledge of employment law and practices
