Full Job Description
VP of IT Applications is a business leader responsible for design, implementation, delivery, and operation of applications
and products for TaskUs. The Core Applications and Products department is responsible for foundational data systems
services delivered to business functions throughout the company including operations, finance, sales, customer support,
frontline delivery, human resources, learning and development, workforce management, data and analytics, as well as
product vertical teams. As VP of IT, Applications you will apply your expertise in leadership, project & portfolio
management, and technology delivery and operations in fun, high-growth, dynamic environment. As a frontline first
organization you will rely heavily on team building, employee development, servant leadership, skills mapping and
learning & development to build high performing teams. The responsibilities for the VP or IT, Applications role can cover
the broad spectrum of technology related disciplines including: strategic innovation, scoping and process evaluation,
solution design and selection, project execution, application support operations, budget and resource planning and
management, application and integration architecture, and fast-agile service delivery. You will utilize your business
acumen to ensure platform strategies align with multi-year, annual and quarterly business plans and industry best
cost-to-value models. You will actively contribute to global business strategic initiatives including continuous
improvement of cultural and employee development programs. In our dynamic high-growth business environment, you

Responsibilities
Innovation
Key leader and contributor to the transformation of the business and IT
Help define a multi-year strategic technology and investment roadmaps for business areas in alignment
with IT cost models that deliver tangible/bottom line business value.
Partner with business owners, PMO and steering committe groups to define, align, and deconflict
priorities
Develop an Enterprise Architect function for business applications and product platform working in close
collaboration with delivery managers, IT and business leadership, and product owners within market
vertical segments.
Contribute thought leadership to technical aspects of annual planning process, ensuring application
roadmaps and project cost estimates create aggressive, yet achievable plans.
Deliver approved IT products/services with high quality, secure, on budget and exceeding business
expectations.
Actively engage in business steering committees to identify opportunities to reduce business or IT cost,
increase revenue, and align with regulatory compliance requirements.
Lead the evolution of master data throughout TaskUs, business and IT.
Application Support
Build talent and skills planningto keep pace with technology innovation
Implement and maintain a highly measurable agile delivery methodology in partnership with other
application and IT service delivery teams
Ensure system stability and scalability with zero impact on business operations due to IT system issues.
Reduces technical debt and simplify the IT application footprint to reduce complexity, cost and security
risk
Continuously develop, measure, and improve global offshore delivery partnerships to reduce TCO for
both support & innovation responsibilities
Proactively manage application contracts & renewals, drive down cost YoY.
Leadership & Management
Provide guidance and direction to leadership and direct and matrix employees to maintain a highly
engaged and high performing work environment.
Maintain a proactive performance management process including selecting, hiring, scheduling, training,
motivating, coaching, disciplining and evaluating employees. May serve as a mentor to less senior
individuals
Establish and maintain positive employee and community relations
Identify and implement performance management measures (KPIs) by individual and team that represent
continuous improvement in service delivery
Introduce process and performance improvements that stick
Embrace and demonstrate the TaskUs vision and value, and act in alignment with the IT operating
principles
Skills
Strong organizational, leadership, and learning and development skills required

Good working knowledge of contemporary IT industry practices, ITIL and key standard performance metrics

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or 4-year equivalent degree in relevant field
Minimum of 12 years of total experience in a corporate IT environment working for a global corporation.
At least 10 years as an IT leader in a manufacturing, engineering or technology company.
Minimum of 7 years managing managers; and 10+ years in IT management.
Minimum of 7 years in an IT technical leadership role (architect or technical lead)
Hands-on delivery experience in 3+ value chain segments (e.g. human resources, sales, finance, etc).
Experience with multiple enterprise platforms required (Salesforce, Oracle, Workday, ADP, etc)
Experience deploying BI / Analytics solutions to global business users.
Experience with annual IT planning and monthly budget/forecast process.
Working in a matrix environment
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
