Job – Special Education Head Teacher Job – On Site Location – Mumbai Budget – 30-40 k/month Team: Urban Employment s To: Program Lead Qualification: ● Sp. Ed / B. Ed / M. Ed ‘ Role purpose: Foster an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere, establish realistic academic expectations, and collaborate with the vocational facilitators to ensure a comprehensive educational and training experience. Oversee classroom environment, understanding the unique needs of each child, and implementing vocational strategies in accordance with the Sols ARC framework. Key Responsibilities Deliverable Outcomes ● Set challenging and realistic expectations to inspire students to achieve their best. ● Encourage the integration of students with disabilities into mainstream activities, promoting inclusivity. ● Maintain professionalism when working with students with exceptional educational needs. ● Collaborate effectively within a team to address the diverse needs of students, ensuring a supportive learning environment. ● Work closely with families to optimise educational outcomes for students, fostering strong partnerships. ● Ensure a safe and secure learning environment for all students. ● Utilise research and instructional data to develop and implement Education Plans (EPs) for students. ● Demonstrate leadership by overseeing and supporting special education teachers in achieving EP goals. ● Stay updated on the latest educational methods through continuous professional development. ● Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations governing special education. Person specification Qualification: ● Sp. Ed / B. Ed / M. Ed Prior Experience: ● 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in special education or a related field ● Demonstrated success in working with diverse learning needs and abilities ● Experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity within an educational setting About the Organization: We are a registered NGO that has been working in the space of inclusion for the past 20 years.
