Customer Service Skills: Relationship Managers will need to be able speak in a friendly way to customers and potential customers, listening to their needs and helping communicate options for them.
Communication Skills: They should speak to customers about a product’s different features, and answer any questions they might have.
Being able to bounce back in case of a lost deal is also a key element for the role of a Relationship Manager.
Proven experience as Relationship manager or relevant position
Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles

Intuitive to customers’ needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships
A background in customer service or sales is a plus
Must understand customer relationship management (CRM)

Ability to work well with others and lead a team
Knowledge of math and numbers
Attentive to detail and organised
Must be self-motivated, flexible and able to manage several jobs at one time
