The Role Responsibilities

Strategy

Plan, analyze, design, develop, execute performance test scripts and test suites with quality outcome
Perform performance test execution activities as per testing engagement level in the project.
Deep-dive analysis of application logs and other infra components like Kafka and Hazelcast.
Assisting the Test Manager in performing test estimation, test strategy and plan as required
Ensure the quality and timelines of delivery of testing assignments
Mitigate risks to business through timely and precise execution of test cases in testing
Verify the test results, test evidences, defect logging, and correctness of defect classification by self and by the team as per defined standard, in the specified tool.
Retest defects after fixes. Under moderate supervision execute tests suites and ensure that information systems and services rendered meets the group standards and end-user requirements
Follow the test process and continuously improve the quality of the test process
Identify issues in requirements, design specifications and product documentation
Document software product defects and track it to closure
Ensure the quality of the DSR, WSR & MSR prepared by the team/self, and make sure the reports contain, concise & precise testing progress update, Critical issues and risk items, with proper execution & defects metrics
Reverse engineer requirements and develop models as needed to support test automation
Contribute to the tools/utility development within the sphere of work
Liaise with project stakeholders to mitigate any project risks/ to resolve critical issues and to bring the project on track during testing phase
Provide timely, appropriate and adequate test support to the support projects and to country team / UAT team during PT phase
Conduct reviews / inspections of project and test deliverables and provide feedback to management
Plan and perform Performance testing before every release/project go live (as applicable)

Processes

Ensuring no adversely rated test audit, no medium or high risks rated test issues from audit and No expired/overdue risks or actions from audits
Unified/Standardized JIRA, test artefacts, status reports, completion report suite covering e2e test methodology by SDLC
Thorough understanding of the system and data architecture of the underlying product
Adoption of model across all domains with appropriate test methodology aligned to each project and evidence

Ensure Billability for the team
Ensure SOWs are in place and extensions and terminations of contracts are managed to avoid cost leakage
Maintain the right permanent: vendor mix as per the bank’s policy

Risk Management

Ensure all the SDF Templates followed on all the Test Deliverables.
QA Review / TDA / Internal / External Audit controls should be maintained in central repository
Document all the RAID details in the Test Strategy with appropriate Mitigation plan.

Governance

Deliver projects within cost, schedule & quality
Take a proactive approach save effort and improve efficiency
Collaborate with the stakeholders to drive through initiatives
Drive initiatives and impress on key stakeholders
Ensure compliance to UTM and SDF models
