The Role Responsibilities
Strategy
Understand the Broader context of Payments and technology adoption in this area with best practices. Should be able to participate and gather all such skills. The primary goal is to get a product out the door. Your goal is to deliver results to the customer, or market, and do everything necessary to achieve this. To do this you need to make sure the development team is able to work as efficiently as possible and this means making sure they have clear goals, both short term and long term, and that nothing prevents them from doing their work. From the initial project scope to deploying the product out to production sites, each step is your responsibility. You can, and should, delegate as much as you can but be ready to check that things are being done as you want and be ready to jump in if it is not.
Business
Providing service to Team (Squad)
Help in assessing the impact, arriving effort & cost estimation for a given work.
Supports the Team (squad) to overcome the technical challenges.
Ensure the technical design agreed is developed / delivered.
Execute a plan and deliver the product / solution on time.
Manage the processes of decomposition and task estimation, finding dependencies with other Squads and updating backlog in the production system
Ensure adherence and continuous improvement of Agile practices, coaches and teaches new techniques to the Team as needed to achieve optimum productivity
Create and maintain an atmosphere of safety, collaboration, trust through facilitation of retrospectives and fostering a honest feedback culture among members
Remove obstacles and impediments to the Team’s (Squad’s) progress, and escalates as required

Review team structure and capacity plans
Review team’s skill matrix and groom the team technically to meet the business expectation.

Raise all issues and risks to the required Technology and Governance Forums

Governance
Ensure all the deliverables meet the quality standards as defined in the Software Development Framework (SDF), Data Quality Management Framework (DQMF) and Operational Risk Framework (ORF)

Our Ideal Candidate
An engineer or Master in computer studies is a must. Fundamental knowledge of technology, algorithms and data structures are a must
Technical Skills
Certified and hands on in Java, J2EE, EJB, Spring and Spring boot technologies
Certified and hands on expertise in one or more Cloud services
Good knowledge on HazelCast or equivalent caching technologies
Good knowledge on Kafka or equivalent messaging technologies
Proven expertise in designing applications in distributed architecture
Capable of designing solutions for high performance
Expertise in DevOps tools – Jenkins, Rundeck, Helms (desired)
Knowledge on resilience in architecture is desirable
Non-Technical Skills
