The India Equities Team is looking for an ambitious and motivated individual to join their team. As a senior Python developer in Software Engineering, you will be part of the best-in-class Reconciliations platform team and will work with a highly inspired and inquisitive team of technologists who are already developing and deploying applications to the highest standards. The team is responsible for providing a multi-asset Reconciliations platform that will cover cash, swaps, listed options and futures across Front, Middle and Back Offices. We need world class technologists in what is a technically challenging, ever-changing business domain, where speed-to-market of technology solutions is often the driver of technology spend and decision-making.
You will combine your years of proven expertise with a never-ending quest to create innovative technology through solid engineering practices. With your deep knowledge of design, analysis, development, coding, testing and application programming, your team will raise their game even more, satisfying both business and functional requirements.
Responsibilities
• The Senior Developer will be part of the Reconciliation team responsible for design, development, testing and implementation of Equities Reconciliation platform.
• Directly contributes to the development of the technology roadmap.
• Serves as the lead engineer in product design, development and transition to operations.
• Defining architecture patterns that support business and technical strategies.
• Provide stability to the existing product suite.
• Leverage and coordinate teams across a large organization, influence the direction of other teams to deliver results that fit the goals of the team and the corporate standards.
• Manage complexity and deliver key objectives on time.
Required Skills
• Strong academic record with Bachelor’s degree, equivalent or above in Engineering, Technology or a related discipline required.
• 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience through all phases of a software development lifecycle.
• Technical expertise in Python.
• Experience with libraries such as pandas, numPy, etc.
• Good knowledge of Core Java, Python and Linux.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud technologies preferred.
• Knowledge of KDB preferred.
• Demonstrable involvement with process improvement/automation initiatives.
• High level of energy and can work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Focused on usability, scalability, maintainability, quality and building applications for the long term.
• Excellent verbal and written skills are critical since this job primarily entails communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders.
• Strong track record of driving and delivering results.
