BASIC INFORMATION ON THE POSITION

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To provide seamless, un-interrupted and quality service to end-users and customers of SLK Soft
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Meet defined SLAs at any given point of time
2. Ensure high IT service availability to end users and customers
3. Ensure highest customer satisfaction at all levels
4. Obtain customer feedback on regular basis to review and improve performance
1. Reduce operational costs and convert IT IS Operations to a profit center
2. Review AMC periodically to reduce recurring cost (OPEX)
3. Reduce CAPEX on any new project
1. Optimize network and system performance and utilization by reviewing periodic system reports
2. Ensure automation of various processes, to reduce possibility of human errors
3. Ensure compliance requirements are adhered to, for various IT services
4. Ensure effective capacity planning to meet organization goals
5. Build, implement and operate Disaster Recovery site, as part of BCP/DR requirements
6. Build redundant and scaleable IT architecture to cater to current and future organization needs
7. Monitor services provided by vendors to ensure customer satisfaction
1. Build process orientation in the team to improve SLAs and reduce iteration rates
2. Provide guidelines and direction to team and motivate them to meet their operational goals
3. Ensure that team members keep themselves abreast of current and upcoming technologies
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
Engineering graduate
Desired Certifications: ITIL Foundation, CCNA, MCSE, CISSP (Advantage)
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
10+ years of experience in IT IS, out of which should have worked for atleast 5 years in a managerial role.
Should have managed a minimum team size of 25 people
DOMAIN/ FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Sound technical knowledge of servers, networks and security products
Understanding of BCP and DR processes
Experience in understanding, planning and designing enterprise IT architecture
Sound knowledge in ITIL or MOF to adapt ISO20000
