Skill-Lync has built an alternative platform for engineering education. The last 2 decades have seen an increasing disconnect between industry and academia – this has resulted in colleges not teaching industry relevant technical skills and thereby students becoming unemployable. Skill-Lync is a Y-Combinator (2019) start-up that is solving this problem at scale leveraging technology and an ecosystem of industry-experts, engineer-trainers and offline-centers.

Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs in different areas and departments
Determine selection criteria for candidates by liaising with managers
Source applicants through online channels and identify platforms & forums to source candidates from
Perform full-cycle of the recruitment process
Inputs into overall hiring strategy of the organization to ensure our teams consist of a diverse set of qualified individuals
Ensure the staffing needs of the company are being met, with a long-term talent strategy in mind
Devise and implement sourcing strategies to build pipelines of potential applicants, such as employer branding initiatives
Create and implement end-to-end candidate hiring processes to ensure a positive experience
Build rapport with hiring managers to ensure clear candidate/interviewer expectations
Maintain a high quality of candidate & hiring manager experience
Skills and Qualifications
5-7 years of relevant experience in talent acquisition or similar roles
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, or similar
Familiarity with social media, C.V. databases, and professional networks
Experience with full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
