Business Continuity Specialist
Description:
Disaster Recovery Specialist in Sapiens manages the design, implementation, and communication of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and processes that ensure the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. Conducts risk analysis to identify critical operations and systems that are core to continued business operations in the event of a disruption. Being a Disaster Recovery Manager monitors and tests the plans and backup systems. Manages the contracts with required vendors for off-site and other resources required for business continuation and recovery. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Manager develops and deploys training, documentation, and communication of disaster procedures to the organization. Develops service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors.
Duties/Responsibilities
Design, Develop and Implement Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for Sapiens locations worldwide
Work with the IT to conduct Business Impact Analysis and Risk Assessments, identify critical services, define recovery objectives and map critical dependencies.
Execute upon and update business continuity program goals, inclusive of the development and reporting against metrics and key performance indicators, meant to assess program health and continuous program improvement.
Present assessments findings, program updates, and recovery strategies to leadership.
Facilitate Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery exercises and tests, to identify potential gaps in plans, as well as functionality of work transference processes supporting recovery
Develop and Run annual Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Drills
Create Training and Awareness program and execute it
Develop metrics that ensure the emergency management program complies with contractual, legislative and regulatory requirements for emergency preparedness
Assume a strong supporting role and at times leadership role in response and recovery activities during business interruption events
Support customers’ requirements – Questionnaires and meetings
Lead the ISO 22301 certification process – Preparations and Audits
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
Minimum of 8 years of IT hands-on experience
Minimum of 6 years of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity hands-on experience, including conducting Risk Assessment and tabletop exercises
Deep knowledge in AWS, Azure and on-prem DRP solutions
Solution Architecture background
Master in technology and tools
Outstanding analytical and organizational skills
Strong bias for action and ownership
Ability to break-down complex business processes and identify continuity risks
Ability to work cross functionally and delivery results
Demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
Demonstrated written and verbal communication to a wide range of audiences including senior leadership
Attitude that no project is too big or too small
Comfort working in an extremely fast-paced environment
