The Team
The SAP Central Infrastructure Operations team, a unit of Global Cloud Services, is looking for leadership in the area of Change Management. You will be responsible for executing against a transformation vision to improve change management initiatives to yield better outcomes.
The Role
In this role you will:
Act as the lead coordinator of problem management activity for central infrastructure operations.
Supply a structured and methodical approach to problem management
Provide and present to periodic reports and presentations.
Interact with various levels of management and stakeholders
Adopt a culture of continual process improvement and best practice within region, with regional peers in global forums, to ensure processes and tools are effective
Ability to track tasks, make assignments, effectively delegate and deliver on commitment dates.
Working with other Networking leadership, assess and improve problem management efforts and maturity to increase availability, stability and performance, and throughput of changes.
Regularly review problem management plans to raise the bar for execution success and excellence.
Provide regular feedback in to process definition in dedication to continuous improvement.
Manage mutually trusted relationships with stakeholders to achieve jointly defined goals and improve customer perceptions and satisfaction
Provide leadership and direction to team members, supporting the alignment of individual goals and career objectives with team direction.
Act as a single point of contact for one or more Problems.
Identify, record, classify, investigate and diagnose IT Environment Problems.
Identifies trends and potential Problem sources (by reviewing Incident and Problem analysis)
Create and update Problem Records and schedule regular Problem Management meetings to track error resolution tasks.
Reporting to the unit of Central Infrastructure Operations, this critical role acts a bridge across multiple cross functional teams with opportunity to establish relationships with people across all of SAP. You must demonstrate the ability to be successful in a fluid, agile, and team-oriented online environment and drive problems to resolution in a large, fast paced, global company
The Role Requirements
10 years experience related to Service Delivery within an IT environment.
Focus on operational excellence with a background in areas like Service Delivery, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Risk Management, Incident and Change Management governance, Infrastructure Lifecycle management, IT project management
Certifications in ITIL v3 or v4 or Lean Six Sigma are preferred
Excellent coordination and facilitation skills are required, certifications in PMP or Prince2 are a plus.
Excellent process execution and administration
Strong root cause analysis, problem solving, and analytical skills
Ability to assess past failures and improve upon plans to avoid repeated errors.
Track record of success
Problem solving experience across all functional layers with an emphasis on quick problem resolution
Able to work independently, while keeping stakeholders informed, delegate where necessary and motivate cross functional teams.
Superior written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with colleagues of all levels in a clear concise manner; both verbal and written.
