Summary
The Engineering Cross Functions (ECF) unit strives to ensure transformative program and quality management services along with testing, test automation, test tooling for in-time quality deliveries of the core of Intelligent Enterprise, the S/4HANA Cloud. ECF drives next-gen q-strategy, q-measures, release promises (by managing dependencies and guardrails), internal validation with inhouse tool(s) and its platform and reporting services to ensure customers leverage high quality S/4HANA Cloud services to generate business value. Within ECF, we have the S/4HANA Test Engineering (STE) unit which is a strong hub of expertise in Automation, Functional, Non-Functional and Process Tests, Jenkins & Docker Lifecycle tests, modern Tools as well as strategic topics such as 1S4HANA, Continuous Feature Delivery, Central Business Configuration for Quality and Program Management, to name a few. We welcome curiosity/interest in reimagining quality/test engineering practices with the use of advanced data techniques such as clustering, neural networks, decision trees, and the like for deriving business insights. Extend existing data capturing mechanisms to create the future predictive models and achieve higher quality of SAP S/4HANA Cloud. In this role, one will be working closely with the S/4HANA Test Engineering leadership team and deliver results that have an impact on business outcomes.
As a data scientist one requires to discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data generated from quality/test engineering processes and practices, make smart decisions towards quality of product shipped to customers. Primary focus in this role is to apply data mining techniques, performing statistical analysis, and lead initiatives to drive data science practices across teams towards building high quality prediction systems. Ideal candidate for this position will have – comprehensive understanding of data science concepts and machine learning algorithms with strong programming skills, professional experience as a data science QA/Software Test expert, and exposure to working in a dynamic cross functional environment. Coding skills are central to this job role, mastery over programming languages like Python, SQL, R etc. and experience in using different statistical models towards data cleaning, preparation of data for practical use, data mining with advanced data science techniques; are critical for success.
