The Opportunity
Sandvine is a network intelligence company that develops products and solutions to enable network operators to deliver a high quality experience to subscribers. Sandvine’s access agnostic products support 5G networks and are supported on next-generation platforms like Cloud, AWS etc.
Our R&D team takes care of the end to end life cycle of various Sandvine products and solutions. As part of customer enablement you are expected to create innovative solutions to real-world problems working with various teams. As part of the team, beyond your technical skills, your innovation, you’re interpersonal & communication skills define your success. In this role you will be working with other R&D teams, Professional Services teams, Account teams, Product Managers and our customers themselves providing unparalleled exposure into the inner workings of the company and the industry.
The Job
Understanding of Sandvine product portfolio (Control-plane, Data-plane and Analytics) & solutions
Responsible for designing and strategizing transition of Sandvine’s products/platforms to Next Generation (Both Cloud and Bare-metal deployments)
Interface with Sandvine internal departments (Customer Success, Product Management, R&D, Sales ) to continuously improve and innovate in providing optimized solutions
Support Professional services team in smooth project implementation and delivery
Maintaining high level of customer satisfaction in a rapid and agile environment
Responsible for deriving customer project requirements/use-cases and designing solution on Sandvine’s Next Generation platforms
Development/Validation of policies/configurations for Sandvine solutions
Developing/validating scripts, utilities for deploying and automating policies/configurations
Responsible for performing gap analysis and generating Change Requests on the relevant product(s) to meet the target solution design and if required provide workaround solutions to customer
This position is in Bangalore, India.
What skills you bring
Bachelor’s or Masters (or equivalent) degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Out-of-the-box thinking, attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
Ability to collaborate with remote teams
A self-motivated learner who can adapt quickly to change
An energetic, positive “we can do it” attitude towards challenges.
3-8 years of experience in software development in the Telecommunication or related Industry
Experience in programming or scripting languages such as bash, python etc
Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Ethernet, IP routing, networking protocols, SNMP)
Experience in a technical product lab setting or operational network environment
Experience in Quality Assurance testing
Excellent understanding of end-to-end network call flows, as well as relevant technologies & protocols (DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, DHCP, RADIUS, DIAMETER, GRE, GTP)
