Purpose Of The Role As a Sales Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support the sales team and contribute to the overall success of the sales process. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining efficient communication between various stakeholders. Your role will involve handling documentation, assisting in proposal preparation, and providing elementary sales knowledge to assist the sales team in achieving their targets.
Roles & Responsibilities
Documentation Support:
Prepare and organize sales-related documents, including sales reports, customer records, and contracts.
Assist in maintaining an up-to-date database of customer information and sales activities.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all sales-related paperwork.
Proposal Assistance
Collaborate with the sales team to create and format proposals and sales presentations.
Help gather relevant data and information required for creating compelling proposals.
Proofread and edit proposal content to ensure clarity and professionalism.
Sales Support
Provide elementary knowledge on sales techniques and processes to help the sales team enhance their performance.
Assist in conducting market research and gathering competitor information to support sales strategies.
Handle customer inquiries and provide basic product/service information.
Communication
Coordinate with different departments (e.g., marketing, customer service) to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Maintain open lines of communication with the sales team and promptly relay important information to relevant parties.
Administrative Duties
Help schedule sales meetings, appointments, and follow-ups with clients.
Manage the sales team’s calendars and ensure they are well-organized and optimized.
Assist in preparing and sending out sales-related correspondence and emails.
Desired Skills
0-2years of sales or sales operations experience. Bachelor’s degree required.
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Familiarity with CRM systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to use any BI tool is a plus
Education Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business or a related field is a plus.
Previous experience in a sales support role or administrative capacity is desirable but not mandatory.
