Roles and Responsibility

Job Description:
Manage version control systems like Gitlab internals including Rest API, XML/YAML and to understand different merge conflict situations and be able to provide guidance to resolve them.
Manage, monitor, administer, and define best practises for continuous integration and deployment using tools like Gitlab runner, Jenkins and Ansible.
Manage, monitor, administer, and define best practises for RHEL onprem and cloud infrastructure.
Configure and maintain application servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities.
Provide 24×7 support for critical production systems.
Periodically monitor system performance and capacity to provide input for needed expansion or alternative configurations to support additional parameters like storage, database capacity, or web server capacity needs.
Gather regular performance statistics using automated scripts or tools and present to the reporting manager upon request or agreed regular intervals.
Perform Root Cause Analysis of major incidents and recurring problems with application services and recommend and implement corrective actions.

Required Skills

Proficient Cloud DevOps engineer with over 5+ experience in Cloud (AWS), DevOps, Configuration management, Infrastructure automation, Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD).
Experience in dealing with Unix/Linux/Windows (AWS Workspaces) and Coding abilities using one or more technologies like Ansible, Python, JSon, Java,Groovy, YAML, ldap integration or bash/shell.
Experience on Backup and restore AWS services and in Design and configure Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), subnets, AWS Lambda, S3, DNS settings, security policies and routing.
Experience in Implementing a CI/CD pipeline using AWS DevOps in both cloud and on-premises with GIT, MS Build, Docker, Maven along with Jenkins plugins.
Experience in Infrastructure Development and Operations involving AWS Cloud Services, EC2, EBS, VPC, RDS, SES, ELB, Setting up IAM policies, Auto scaling, CloudFront, Cloud Formation, Elastic Cache, API Gateway, Route 53, Cloud Watch, SNS.
Expertise in building CI/CD on AWS environment using AWS Code Commit, Code Build, Code Deploy and Code Pipeline and experience in using AWS CloudFormation, API Gateway, and AWS Lambda in automation and securing the infrastructure on AWS.
Experience in changing over existing AWS infrastructure to Serverless architecture (AWS Lambda, AWS Kinesis) through the creation of a Serverless Architecture using AWS Lambda, API gateway, Route 53, S3 buckets. Proficiency in using Openshift &/r any other containerization to make applications platform when moved into different environments.
Proficient in deploying and configuring Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK) and AWS Kinesis for log analytics and skilled in monitoring servers using Nagios, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, Monitor and ELK.
Have experience with software management – installations, patching of OS/apps etc.
Have Exposure or be familiar with some of the emerging technologies like AWS Databases, Datalakes, Cloud integration, security protocols like ldap integration etc.
Have Knowledge of Clusters, Storage, Backups, Data Export/Import, Monitoring tools and disaster recovery.
Are preferably Red Hat certified (Systems Administrators), and have some hands on working with AWS Cloud offerings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
