Job Title: Purchase Executive
Job Description:
As a Purchase Executive, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services necessary for the smooth operation of our organization. You will be responsible for managing the local procurement process, vendor relationships, and inventory levels to meet the company’s operational needs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local suppliers and vendors.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations.
Sourcing and Procurement: Analyze purchase requisitions and review for accuracy and completeness.
Source and select suppliers based on factors such as cost, quality, and reliability.
Obtain price quotations and negotiate contracts and agreements.
Order Processing: Process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy of specifications, quantities, and delivery schedules.
Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and ensure availability of necessary materials.
Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize excess or obsolete stock.
Cost Management: Analyze and on procurement costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Monitor and on budgetary compliance.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement documentation.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
· BE / B-TECH/Graduate/Post Graduate in Engineering/Any relevant field.
· Knowledge of inventory management and vendor management.
· Minimum of 2 year’s experience in purchasing, in industrial or /and laboratory purchase.
· Proven financial management business performance;
· Ability to promote best purchasing and procurement practices
· Proficiency with Ms-Excel & SAP
· Value for money, compliance enforcement, prompt and transparent financial ing.
· Ability and willingness to understand the technical elements of the categories
· Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
· Strong negotiation and communication skills both internally and externally.
· Desire to work in an organization where there is a culture of urgency, personal accountability, and of striving ‘to perform’.
