About the job:
The Red Hat Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team is looking for a Customer Support Specialist to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for Red Hat customers who need help using our products. Support requests will come via telephone, web ticket, or chat. You will need to investigate the problem, and work closely with our Technical Support Engineers, to find a resolution. You will study for professional certifications like Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), and receive lots of work based training. As your career at Red Hat progresses, you will learn to solve a wide range of issues on your own.
What you will do:
Communicate with Red Hat customers regarding technical support
Work with Red Hat enterprise customers across the globe on 24×7 basis that requires work in different shifts periodically
Diagnose, troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate issues
Work as a collaborative team member, and put the customer first and be keen to proactively find solutions
Research customer issues, and record information in our knowledge base for future use
Be committed to learning and professional development, which is likely to include studying for Red Hat certifications (e.g. RHCSA, RHCE) in your own time
What you will bring:
Experience in IT, gained either through relevant education or work experience
Exceptional customer service skills, with experience working in a customer facing environment
Passion for problem solving and investigation, coupled with the ability to critically analyze complex issues
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Some experience using Linux is a plus
