This position is for Radiometer team located at Danaher India Development Center (IDC), Bangalore
IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet and Cepheid.
The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.
The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility, measuring 120 K I. General Summary & Overall Challenges
This SW verification Engineer position has a significant role in ensuring that the software delivered from the Immunoassay (IA) SW team meets the defined design specification and the quality needs. The team is currently developing software for the IA analyzers in Radiometer’s product portfolio. Team proficiencies are primarily desktop standalone application development and testing, both front end and embedded. The Analyzer software is developed in close collaboration with the other half of the SW team located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
In this role, you will be involved in or even be the primary people identifying test conditions and crafting test designs, test cases, test procedure specifications and test data, and will need to automate or help to automate the tests. You will also work with multi-functional project teams to develop new and sustain the existing products. To achieve the objective of this position you will have to collaborate and connect with all the partners within R&D and beyond.
The position is in Bangalore and is part of a team of 20 highly skilled engineers in IDC working for IA team. We are responsible for the software design and development for the IA analyzers as a part of Immunoassay business in Radiometer.
This position reports to the Manager, Software Engineering IA SW team in India Development Center Bangalore. II. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities
Design, plan and implementation of test cases, requirement-based verification. Test script and test harness development and maintenance.
Build and maintain test automation via HPE UFT, with basic VB scripting knowledge.
Maintaining and documenting verification specific documents, Test Protocol and Test reports.
Build and execute test cases based on the system requirements specifications to ensure accurate operation.
Testing and verification of components, including module test and target test of new features as well as regression target test for release.
Reporting to various project partners.
Ensuring full compliance with relevant work practices as per Radiometer quality management system, as required by authorities for medical device product development
Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to manage changing priorities! III. Requirements for this position (“What” the candidate can do) a) Formal Education
Bachelors/Master’s degree (B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech) in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or equivalent. b) Competencies / Skills / Experience
2-4 years of experience specifically in the standalone SW verification and validation activities.
Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects
Must have good understanding of Product Development Lifecycle and STLC.
Should have very good communication skills
Must have strong skills in developing test automation scripts using HP ALM, HP Quality Center, QTP/UFT
HPE Quality Center Test management tool is a plus.
Experience with Health care domain is an added advantage.
Good to have experience in agile development methodologies with an understanding of several aspects of SW development processes
Possess good analytical skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Ambitious, performance-oriented and able to work independently
Flexible, willing to “go the extra mile” while at the same time being an agile and fast learner. c) Language
