In this role, you are responsible for the design and implementation and test of software for use within medical systems.
Key Responsibility Area:
Design and implementation of software (on component or module level)—understand and communicate consequences of your design on the architecture and influence design specification;
Design software on the basis of design specifications in accordance, to ensure that the software will be reliable, efficient, user-friendly, easy to maintain and meet the (medical) quality and coding standards;
Implement class, unit integration and unit tests for the designed modules or components;
Contribute to the quality and maintainability of our software stack which has to be maintained for a long time (10+ years).
Perform work in-line with processes/quality system;
Contributing to the unit interfaces (SW), in close consultation with relevant disciplines;
Initiatives and active participation for continuous improvement and Agile / Safe / Scrum process.

The Image-Guided Therapy Systems (IGT-S) development organization that consists of 450 people, of which more than 100 people work in software development. You will be part of the multidisciplinary multisite Imaging Chain Software team that focuses on system software. All activities take place in a regulated medical, process-driven environment that focuses on quality.

We are looking for someone with
Experience with C++/COM , object oriented programming,
Bachelor/Master of Engineering in the field of Computer Science/ Electronics and Communication or equivalent
At least 5 years’ experience in software design and development
Experience with software development methodologies such as agile (SAFE), scrum and the V-model
Experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, test and integration
Ability to analyze the root cause of a problem and deliver evidence for the root cause and it side effects.
Ability to find existing (legacy) code a positive challenge.
Ability to think in risks for the proposed solution (including where to solve it)
GIT / RTC / TFS SOLID principles and (unit) testing

Good communication in English (both written and verbal)
Personality skills to collaborate with colleagues from different teams/levels and think across functional borders
A lean/pragmatic attitude who can drive change and continuously seeks improvements and ways to reduce ‘waste’
Interest in development of software in a controlled regulated environment
Experience in working in a healthcare product development environment is an advantage
