We drive standardization of back office, E2E process harmonization and simplification.

GBS Chennai currently drives the operations for Finance Accounting Operations (primarily RTR) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) under Finance function
Record to Report (RTR) is at the heart of Philips finance, ensuring calm control of our core financial processes for Royal Philips. RTR is committed to supporting the business by focusing on sound business practices such as accounting integrity and transparency, providing reliable and predictable quality, and driving an efficient and high-performance organization.
Financial Planning & Analysis– FP&A supports the businesses, markets and functions of Royal Philips to define their goals, long and short term, and execute on them, providing both the analytics and the systems/tools to drive planning and execution. In addition, FP&A drives harmonization of processes and tools across the company, by fully leveraging Lean and ESSA principles.
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Manage the HR set-up for the global hub (GBS) based in Chennai. This involves spearheading the HR function that will support the short-term set-up and enable the long-term people strategy of the business, which includes managing the operational team and service delivery arm. The role will also be responsible for running the internal HR function (including hiring, payroll, performance management, people development, etc.)
You are a part of
Global Business Services, a shared services global hub in Chennai. The global hub is expected to offer shared services support to Philips operations globally in the areas of Finance, Supply Chain, Customer services, IT, EIM etc.
You are responsible for
Performance Management
Deploy and monitor performance management system for all employees and ensure adherence to the process
Review developmental plans & their execution for all employees
Talent and Learning Initiatives
Drive Learning programs including technical training and ensure that programs are in line with development needs as per PPM and Business needs
Provide feedback of Learning Programs to CoE LTL to enhance the quality of learning effectiveness
Employee Engagement
Define and Drive the Employee Engagement agenda
Always acts as employee champion including voicing employees‟ concerns in management meetings
Counsels employees on organizational issues
Create and implement effective internal employee communication forums
Hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
HR Operations
Custodian of HR policies; drives process, policy, reporting compliance
Interacts with the corporate office on matters pertaining to transfers, promotions, separations, appointments etc.
Talent Acquisition processes
Drive the recruitment process for all employees in line with the business requirements
Manage On-boarding process and formalities including Induction of employees
Identifies local recruitment vendor partners
Manages the development and maintenance of the Human Resources Information System w.r.t. employees
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
A professional qualification in HR / Personnel Management & Industrial Relations (a Master’s degree in HR would be desirable)
2+ years of experience in HR from a premier B-School / 5+ years other B-schools
Sound inter-personal skills
Team player
Stakeholder management skills
Ability to think ahead of the game
Ability to maintain a balance between EQ and IQ
