Role:
This Senior Consultant position is primarily responsible to work on Oracle Utilities Maintenance, Support for Oracle Utilities Clients. Leveraging their prior knowledge in Batch Process monitoring on Production systems, this consultant will work as part of team with other consultants, project or production support team and delivery managers.
KEY OBJECTIVE

Work as part of the project or production support team responsible for remotely monitoring the batch process that will be run in different environments at client sites.
Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high quality batch monitoring service within agreed budgets and time frames.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
( Outline specific tasks/responsibilities of the role)
Provide on-call support and monitoring batch programs on OUAF and non OUAF based environments.
Experience in CCB is a plus.
Strong hands on experience in Unix, SQL and scripting.
Good in network, servers and DB concepts.
Scheduler (TWS, Autosys, Control-M etc.) administration experience is preferred.
Triage the batch issue and apply the solution with limited/no guidance.
Co-ordinate with Development and other IT teams to drive for resolution on any issues.
Monitor and implement online batch management using different work schedulers (Tivoli/Tidal/CAWA) – Configuring jobs and job streams, defining dependencies, and reporting job performance etc.
Perform Job schedule analysis
Monitor the progress by tracking the incident and produce the weekly / monthly reports.
Document the issues and provide regular status reports to the Project Manager.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE and TRAINING

University degree in Engineering in IT, Computer Science or any of its equivalents. BTech/BE preferred, MCA is acceptable
5-10 years for production support experience with lead role and ready to work in shifts.
At least one (3) year work experience on Batch Monitoring lead role
Understanding of basic Unix Administration.
Good Understanding of quality and security standards.
Good understanding of business processes
Knowledge in any Customer Management and Billing System a plus
Experience in Object-oriented Design a plus
Strong written and spoken English communication skills

Define, design, and implement network communications and solutions within a fast-paced, leading edge database/applications company.
Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity. React to potential problems using automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools – escalating to management where appropriate. Participate in configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system. Responsible for support documentation as well.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 2-4 years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS in Computer Science or related field.
