Full Job DescriptionImplementation Engineer – Oracle Utilities Analytics Insights (OUAI) Client Success
As an Implementation Engineer at Oracle Utilities Analytics Insights (OUAI), you will work with a team to implement SaaS-based energy efficiency and customer engagement programs on behalf of our utility partners. You will collaborate with a diverse group, including a Project Manager, a Senior Implementation Engineer, as well as members of the Product Engineering, Product Management, and QA teams. Setting up new programs for our utility clients is the lifeblood of Oracle Utilities Analytics Insights (OUAI), and we rely on Implementation Engineer’s input and expertise for our overall success.
Our Implementation Engineers rely on a diversified technical skill-set, including: data manipulation via complex SQL queries, Extraction-transformation and Loading (ETL) for custom interface development, experience on the Linux command line. We do not expect you to immediately be masters of the full spectrum of technologies used, but through on the job training and coaching, you will gain the necessary skills required to launch energy efficiency programs for new utility clients.
Responsibilities
Analyze data and develop interfaces to extract, transform, and load utility data from the utility clients using sql/plsql to meet Oracle Utilities Analytics Insights (OUAI)’s data standards
Develop and deploy ETL job workflow with reliable error/exception handling and rollback framework.
Monitor daily production jobs and fix the issues if any by coordinating with respective teams.
Ensures data quality throughout entire ETL process.
Manages automation of file processing as well as all ETL processes within a job workflow.
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements for data transmission, storage, and data access including documentation, testing, and remediation
Build and maintain a deep understanding of our products with the ability to explain them to others; think about how client customization and delivery can be speed up and improved
Collaborate with cross functional teams to operationalize new Oracle Oracle Utilities Analytics Insights (OUAI)’s products and features
About You
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science or related field
2-4 years of experience working on production operations.
Ready to work in different shifts to manage 24/7 operations.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Ability to translate ideas and business requirements into fully functioning ETL workflows.
You are able to write SQL for large data sets and have recent experience with relational databases, Oracle preferred
You have experience in Linux and are not afraid of the command line
You are a smart, talented engineer, looking for an exciting, fast-paced company to expand your toolbox and develop your skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Assists with analyzing complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
As part of a project implementation team, assists in implementing software projects under supervision and in accordance with agreed specifications.
Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and procedures. Typically graduate or equivalent with 0 – 2 year relevant experience.
