Job Description
As a member of Oracle’s Cloud Engineering team, you will be a specialist that will design, implement and migrate cloud-native solutions. You will be working with cloud-native technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure to build highly scalable demonstration and proof-of-concept solutions. As an integral member of our team, we highly encourage the contribution of ideas and drive in the generation of new concepts, to maintain our outstanding leadership position for technology and service delivery in the marketplace.
You will be to be an integral part of Lift implementations and be involved in the customer engagement from validating workloads through to successful implementation.
Demonstrate passion to work with top OCI customers and partners: evangelizing, designing, and building cloud computing solutions for some of the largest and most important organizations in the world.
Responsibilities:
Deliver Cloud Native solutions, and assist in testing of the implemented solution
Contributing to the Architecture/Solution Design, providing experiences / best practices
Participating in customer engagements to collaboratively design and implement solutions.
Be a leader, a ‘doer’, with a vision & desire to contribute to a business with a technical project focus and mentality that centers around a superior customer experience.
In partnership with the Enterprise Cloud Architects and pre-sales teams, formulate and execute a strategy to migrate applications from on-prem or cloud deployments to OCI services
Perform Security Assurance Reviews
As a trusted customer advocate, you will help customers and ISVs understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing production workloads to the cloud
Develop prototypes, and demonstrations using Cloud Native technologies
Work closely with Oracle product management on emerging solutions and refinement of existing services
Working with the pre-sales team to develop a production architecture to migrate customer applications into OCI
Develop enablement plans to transfer knowledge on best practices to install, configure and manage OCI services
Develop a deep expertise in the Oracle Cloud technology offerings as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the Oracle Cloud platform
Help generate excitement on usage of Oracle Cloud services: Technology evangelism and enablement
Qualifications
4-12 years of software development experience with at least one of Java (preferred), JavaScript/TypeScript languages.
Good understanding of the IT market landscape & trends
You are working in an IT related role today (Consulting, Solution Engineering, Technical Support, Development)
You have a good architectural understanding of technical aspects of a cloud solution including networking, security, resilience and connectivity
You have experience working with fault tolerant, highly available, high throughput, distributed, scalable systems
You have a good understanding of the following areas:
Expertise in any JavaScript frameworks like Oracle JET, Angular with TypeScript, JQuery, Knockout JS, Require JS, React, NodeJS or similar
Low code development using VBCS
Serverless Functions (preferably Oracle Cloud Functions), Microservices (preferably Helidon), Kubernetes (preferably OKE)
Oracle Content and Experience (OCE)
Experience in Chatbot and Voice assistants
Scripting such as Shell, Power Shell, Python
Java experience preferred.
Knowledge on DevOps tools and automation is preferred
Strong Agile experience working in Scrum and/or Kanban models.
OCI Certification: Architect Associate / professional is an added advantage.
Ability to multi-task; working on multiple project teams and wearing multiple hats is very common at Oracle.
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills

As a member of the Cloud engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
You will partner with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. You actively drive Oracle Cloud consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment. Engage with strategic customers, building leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations in order to design and implement solutions. Work directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translate business needs into solutions.
Serve as a leading contributor for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Identify gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features. As a Leading contributor, provide direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. May interact with C level.
Minimum qualifications include: Experience with computer applications and tools. Ability to travel 25% international and domestic preferred, but not required. BS or MS degree.
Partners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment.
Responsible for participating in customer engagements to collaboratively design and implement solutions. May work directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. Implements solutions and ensures successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through more customized presentation demonstrations to customers and at conferences and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a technical point of contact for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Further builds business and technical acumen.
Minimum qualifications include: 5 years experience with computer applications and tools required. Ability to travel 25% international and domestic.
Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 5 years technical experience. Expertise in system and application design; Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Needs analysis, positioning, and business justification; Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments.
