The opportunity:
As a Senior Quality Assurance you will utilize superior knowledge and experience to perform highly complex product architecture, design, systems analysis, research, maintenance, troubleshooting and other programming activities. You will also play a key role in the development of work teams by providing others with direction and leadership. You will also be involved in cross-team planning activities such as providing status updates and coordinating activities
You are great at:
Develop and maintain test strategies and test cases while performing all testing activities including functional, integration and regression testing
Design/Develop/Maintain the Automation Framework. Also setup regular execution test-beds for continuous delivery
Identify, isolate, regress and communicate bugs effectively and efficiently
Evaluate and communicate test coverage, *red flags- and anomalies to the Scrum team to aid in making the decision to certify releases.
Work with a diverse set of enterprise applications
Perform business/requirements analysis and identify requirements traceability
Have expertise in Scrum and be able to help team members create automation strategies for new features
Conducting Performance and scalability assessments on products, integration of products, and solutions in varying deployment architectures
Responsibility for design and directing the creation of realistic and high-end test environments. These will include use of appropriate data sets, optimal configuration of all products and supporting infrastructure components
Ensuring complete understanding and effective documentation of performance requirements test plans, and analysis methodologies to design product usage scenarios that, when run over a volume of requests, determine the responsiveness and scalability of the given operations on the given deployment architecture
Experience to choose the most effective load test clients and be well versed in resource monitoring tools and techniques in a wide variety of environments
Demonstration of exceptional abilities to diagnose and troubleshoot product and environmental issues as they arise
Make use of knowledge and experience with load generation tools to direct the automation of test scenarios. They will assess the stress put on the system to show where bottlenecks arise, interpret statistics generated, and report on the product’s performance. They will direct exploratory testing to expose product issues, and determine the trend effects of variables in a deployment.
Liaison with product teams and work directly with developers and QA, helping them to reproduce issues and propose solutions to mitigate problems and offer greater performance and scalability
What it takes:
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science or equivalent with 6+ years of experience with test-driven development
Experience in testing complex enterprise level applications
Experience in scripting applications, that the tool cannot record requests for, would be preferable
Should be able to perform analysis of client statistics like response times, throughput, hits per second etc
Previous experience working as a QA automation engineer
Experience on automation framework and tools like Cypress
Knowledge and experience on automation applications built on dot.net
Experience using tools like JMeter
Black Box / Grey Box testing experience in testing product API
Knowledge of bug tracking tools such as Bugzilla and/or Jira
Solid testing experience with SQL and database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.
Experience with Jenkins or similar CI systems
Good understanding of performance and security aspects of software development
Experience with SOA, RESTful is desirable
Should have resource monitoring (Windows & Unix Environment) & and bottleneck analysis skills such as:
CPU, Memory, Network and IO monitoring and thorough analysis
Should have experience in monitoring using Perfmon (Windows) and/or Shell scripts (Linux/Solaris/AIX/HP/ other Unix flavors)
Should have good working knowledge of testing products on cloud infrastructure.
Desired skills (not hard requirements):
Microsoft dot.net programming experience
Experience with open source automation frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG or Robot
Should have knowledge of analysing JVM-Heap dump, Java-thread dumps, CPU and memory profiling data
Knowledge of TCP/IP communication and tools like Wireshark
Familiarity with ‘eDiscovery’ domain
