The opportunity:
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership on design and architecture of Highly Scalable, Distributed and Cloud enabled Open Text BN Applications product suite with direct customer impact. Responsible for day-to-day collaboration with Engineering team to ensure development of technical designs, architectural decisions and interaction with customers and product management team to provide technical direction and visions.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, with scalable and cloud compliant designs and within agreed upon quality standards. Work closely with cross-functional teams within OpenText and partner with key stakeholders.

Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, other technical teams and Release Management to ensure effective launch and delivery of products both on on-premise and cloud to satisfy business needsLead teams to ensure project delivery successBuild and maintain strong customer relationships, internal and externalApply best-practices and coding patterns that ensure world-class solutions that are maintainable, modular, and of high code-qualityCreate a culture that insists on meeting expectations and delivering valueDrive automated solutions that enable better efficiency and process improvementGrow and mentor the technical skills and talent in the teamManage communication cross-functionally and escalate promptly as issues ariseFacilitate regular Steering Committee meetings on containerization and present to senior level managementTake responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction during project deliveryMaintain project management documentation including but not limited to project plans, issues, risks, action items, scorecards and project sites.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
What it takes:
Bachelor’s degree or related academics8 to 13 Years related experience, of which at least 6 years in design and architecture role, 4+ years of experience as engineering lead.Strong design and coding experienceExtensive experience with Java Script, Angular Js, Java, Application Servers, Docker Containers, Kubernetes and Rest Services, Spring, Struts, Hibernate and OracleProficiency in server technologies including J2EE & RESTful APIExperience with Java based aspect-oriented programming techniquesStrong / deep understanding of Object oriented design and associated modeling toolsWorking knowledge of open source technologies: Linux, Apache

Must be confident, highly motivated and passionate about delivery and customer satisfaction.Must have strong organization, communication (written and verbal) and planning skills.Must have extensive experience managing projects with Agile Scrum methodology.
