OSS Specialist
Are you passionate about solving problems?
As part of our team, you will:
Creating and maintaining NETCOOL filters & Event list on request via Incident management tool (ITSM) with the SLA time frame.
Troubleshooting and fault rectification of NETCOOL filters and its probe servers within SLA time frame.
NETCOOL – Incident management tool (ITSM) integration.
Perform Health Checks, address user queries, tickets
Implement Splunk forwarder configuration, search heads and indexes.
Setup and support multiple data source configurations, resolve configuration-based issues
Management (i.e. Adding, managing, troubleshooting) of Universal and Heavy Forwarders.
Alarm management to maintain system performance below threshold
Your skills and experience
You have:
Knowledge about SNMP V3 configuration & SNMP protocol Knowledge
Knowledge about MIB file and rules configuration in NETCOOL
Knowledge of Splunk and its key components(Regular expressions and usage)
Knowledge of Monitoring tools such as Splunk and Netcool
Expertise in administering Netcool tool/servers
It would be nice if you also had:
Experience in Unix, Shell scripting, SQL hands on experience
Experience in Application monitoring and production support on tools such as Netcool & Splunk
Netcool product deeper knowledge
Competency:
Good communication skill for communicating with required stakeholders and customer
Knowledge on GDC operations & ITSM/ticket system process flow
Knowledge of Monitoring tools such as Splunk and Netcool
Proven ability to work with others to meet common objectives and team leader expectations.
Able to work in a changing environment and able to adapt with these changes.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong facilitation skills and ability to gain consensus.
Takes initiative to creatively resolve issues and find solutions.
Comfortable communicating to all levels within the organization.
Results/outcome oriented
