Job Responsibilities
Should be able to lead a team of 6-8 SDET with good hands-on technical experience
Manage the periodic activities of the Team Members to ensure efficiency and support the onboarding of new team members
Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members, colleagues and/or customers
Understand, design, create and execute functional and non-functional test cases
Ability to apply the best testing techniques and methodologies for functional and non-functional scenarios
Contribute to process improvements and implement latest trends and techniques in testing
Understand the requirements quickly, architect and design the test strategies around it.
Provide effort estimations using best QA practices, peer review and conclude it with production releases while collaborating with development engineers, program managers, the build team and the deployment team.
Collaborate with developers on new software features as well as enhancements to existing functionality
Review product design and suggest improvements from testability and user perspective
Design and deliver effective and automatable test plans.
Be an effective code reviewer for automation and product code.
Analyze and recommend the right tools for automation.
Simulate negative scenarios and perform chaos testing
Support the production release activities including pre-production and post production deployment activities
Handle customer escalations, perform root cause analysis and drive customer issues to closure from QE perspective.
Well versed in working with collaborative tools like Confluence wiki, JIRA
Preferred Qualifications
B.E /B.Tech /M.Tech degree from a recognised and accredited university/college.
Minimum 10 years of experience preferably a mix of SDET and product testing.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a QA Manager/Team Lead
Preferred Technical Skills
Strong expertise in programming languages like Python or Java (Python preferred).
Rich experience in validation of complex systems which includes data pipeline, task queueing, async processing etc.
Should have worked on a cloud based product and have addressed reliability, resiliency and scale related problems
System/server side experience for troubleshooting and strong knowledge of Linux.
Understanding of technologies like Redis, Kafka and NoSQL databases.
Good working experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Drone and observability tools like ELK, Grafana etc.
Technical know-how of source code systems like Github
Desired Technical Skills
Experience in designing test framework
Cloud technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS/GCP
Working experience with public REST APIs/SDK of major SaaS vendors like Google, Microsoft or IaaS solutions like AWS, GCP etc
Understanding of Python Celery
Additional Skills
