Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities :
Ensuring that all change/project work is delivered on time and to budget
Using specialist technical skills to proactively manage all elements of the supported Infrastructure ensuring high levels of service availability
Proactive Problem management to drive down numbers of fault Incidents raised
Proactive monitoring of Servers, Key systems.
Proactive maintenance of systems, installing patches, upgrades etc.
Carrying out all backups, tape changing and log checking
Capacity planning and reporting on IT infrastructure
Providing customers with high level technical consultancy
Specialising in the configuration and support of Windows Servers and back office applications
Ensure compliance with all documented procedures
Monitor allocated procedures, review and update as necessary. Identify and produce new procedures as appropriate
Be able to work on the Office premises for minimum of 8.5 hours during assigned shift timings or more if the work demands.
Be a part of the 24X7 shift rotation (If Required)
Get involved in any other business activities as required

Proven skills in Remote End User Support. Ability to talk end users through the problem(s) they are facing and come up with a solution, either from a Hardware and/or Software perspective.
Thorough knowledge of MS Windows Server from 2000 to the latest versions.
Log File Analysis for abnormalities in Windows logs.
In-depth experience in Microsoft Active Directory based on windows 2003/2008 as Domain Controller and core authentication system.
Group Policy Object (GPO) administration, troubleshooting and management and manage GPO links in OU hierarchy.
Maintain & Administration of DNS, DHCP, NFS, NIS, DFS roots, Group policy
Exchange 2007/2010 deployment, administration, management, and troubleshooting skills.
Exchange routing and in-depth knowledge of the SMTP protocol
Good understanding of Virtual Infrastructure & Components of Build
Managing VCB / VDR / VDP
Creating/Deleting snapshots
Managing Data stores, Clusters, DRS & HA Policy
Identifying the issues related to overall performance and implementing corrective measures to enhance overall performance.
Thorough knowledge of large network environments, LAN/WAN technologies and TCP/IP
Terminal Server experience, including Citrix
Clustering technologies
Ability to quickly analyze & diagnose technical problems.
Work with Change & Problem Management Tools
Problem determination and resolution within agreed time frames.
Perform Root Cause Analysis for the incidents.
Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes.
Create regular reports for Management requirements.
Escalations handling.
Co-ordination with other technical teams.
Assume personal responsibility for resolving problems in most effective way possible within SLA reaching root cause and preventing problems.
Adhere to all the account specific technical as well as general process / procedures.
Ensure the Service Requests and all pre-requisite checks are followed diligently.
Quality and Process Knowledge.
Desirable:
Citrix systems administration
VMware administration for the Citrix servers
Maintaining vSphere Production environment using VMware vCenter.
Managing Virtual machines i.e. adding/deleting VM’s
Citrix installations and upgrades
Perform routine health checks of the Citrix systems
Ability to install and publish applications
Work with technical teams and end users to resolve application issues
Concepts on different storage technologies like DAS, NAS and SAN.
Knowledge in Scripting and Automation.

BE/BTECH Graduates
