Job Purpose/Summary
The Software Developer position works closely with all members of the IT department to ensure that all applications are presented in a clean, professional manner. In this role, the candidate will work as a member of the development team on application development, user experience design, site development, scripts development, site maintenance and support. The Software Developer will take an active leadership role in the development department and will be responsible for ensuring application security and release standards are consistent with company policies
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assessment of new releases, development of upgrades or migration strategies and plans during application walkthroughs
Ensuring that all production released software is secure and meets published security guidelines
Design/Development/Deployment of system applications. This involves assisting the business in requirements definition, presenting solutions, providing estimates and developing finished applications.
Documentation, including functional and design specifications for applications to be developed

Education
Post-Secondary Education
IT related degree
Relevant IT related training (MCSD, MCPD, etc.)
Experience
Minimum of 5 years fast-paced systems development
Experience with PC based development tools including: HTML, CSS, XML, ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, WCF/Web Services (SOAP)
Experience with MS SQL databases; Big Data experience a plus
Experience with T-SQL and coding stored procedures
Experience in full SDLC (Agile, Safe Agile)
Experience in Web Application development preferred
Report creation and analysis using SQL Reporting Services preferred
