The position is that of Trainer for the Additive Manufacturing lab at our Siemens COE in one of the most prestigious engineering institutions in the country.
Siemens Center of Excellence is a state-of-the-art lab set up at the premise of the institute itself, that comprises typical equipment and software that drives modern manufacturing industry. MTC helps plan, install, commission and operate these Centers of Excellence to offer high-end skill training for the students and staff of the institution.
The candidate will complete manage the Additive Manufacturing lab in a high end engineering centre in the university. The job role involves working with the faculty on industrial projects, training and complete management of the lab.
The overall responsibility of the trainer will be to ensure the complete management of students and be responsible for their training through classes as well as industrial projects.
Internal Customers: Stakeholders, Center Manager, Project Manager, Other Trainers, Operations Head,
External Customers: Project Director, Students, Clients on project, Vendors, Suppliers etc
Key Role s and Responsibilities
Training
Understand the course details/ syllabus from Centre Manager/ Faculty and prepare lesson plans
Adhere and execute the predefined lesson plan.
Set up effective practical demonstrations and experiments to enhance learning process.
Resolve technical queries from Trainees and collect feedback on training.
Extend Industrial training based on the requirement of the Institution.
Facilitate students as they learn their core concepts in their respective domain
Track performance and progress and update in system periodically.
Review assignments and activities, provide constructive feedback and genuine encouragement
Creating student and related reports
Preparing case studies and success stories of students for marketing.
Industrial Projects/ Promotional Activities
Carry out promotional activities such as campaigns, seminars or workshops in colleges.
Demonstrate products to external customers.
With the support of faculty, recommend appropriate technical solutions to the problems or issues faced by customers from industries.
Prepare custom made courses based on Industrial Customer’s requirement.
Content Support
Research on the latest industry related topics
Provide suggestions for various content tools such as videos, presentations, articles, Infographics etc
Collaborate and provide support to development team in creating relevant content
Review any existing content and make them relevant
Constantly looking for new and fresh ideas to communicate a subject’
Upskilling
Regularly working on Projects through own initiative to stay up to date on various technology updates and trends.
Participate in various Faculty Development Program conducted by the company.
Relationship Management
Relationship Building with internal and external stakeholders such as- project directors, clients, participants, management and vendors
Identifying potential risk, handling issues promptly and proposing long lasting solutions.
Participation in review meetings and proposing inputs that can be incorporated in company practices.
Communication of company standards and practices to stakeholders in order to achieve maximum satisfaction.
Resolve any complaints and create a smooth and conducive working environment for the team.
Working cohesively with other departments to meet clients’ expectations.
Developing and training team members where applicable.
Documentation
Design, develop and issue courseware before Training sessions.
Support the technical department in creating new lesson plans
Maintain attendance record & feedback record of Trainees.
Evaluate the trainees periodically and document their performances after each Training sessions.
Study the feedback gathered from Trainees and prepare an analysis report on it.
Maintain Trainees enrollment report through the LMS.
Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources in the Lab and support HO/ Centre Manager in conducting periodic audits.

Skill set
General Requirements
Graduate (BE/BTech)
3-5 years of Work experience- Industrial or Teaching experience will be preferred.
Excellent Written and Oral English communication
Must own a Laptop and good internet connection to work remotely during exigencies
