The PB Client Digital Technology team provides external clients digital access to Morgan Stanley data and services through desktop, mobile and programmatic APIs. The team is looking for skilled software engineers that are comfortable working in a dynamic environment and focused on commercial delivery.
Java developer to join the Portfolio Accounting and Performance Team. The system provides P&L calculation, Position keeping functionality for multiple business units in the firm. The system is a distributed java/DB architecture with multiple components processing multiple asset classes like equities, binds, options, Swaps and other OTC derivatives. The system is starting off with implementation of a roadmap of many years of renovation and scaling up in pipeline with planned deployment of services, APIs, Microservices, Spark, distributed caches, cloud deployment, machine learning etc.
The Role involves
1. Working in a fast paced environment on varied projects that impact multiple firm systems and business groups.
2. Working with a global team in New York and working directly with business users in prime brokerage, fund admin, firm controllers and Tax reporting.
3. Working in all phases of SDLC, from requirements to Prod Support.
Skills required:
3-8 yrs of experience into strong commercial java ( Spring, AOP, multithreading etc)
Good concepts of RDBMS and basic SQL. ,
