We secure the Azure, Windows, Xbox, and Surface businesses. We drive security and product teams across Microsoft to ensure that we have the right tools and services to protect these key businesses with clear focus on end-to-end Supply Chain security. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to advance our security efficiencies+ on Linux platform and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is someone who loves security and craves creating a world where it is simple for every engineering team at Microsoft to build safe and secure systems / services in Azure.
Responsibilities
Establish and follow modern engineering practices to drive down operational overhead through automation and system design
Promote security excellence across a broad set of customers
Define and create standard operating procedures/TSGs for customers and partners
Ensure all infrastructure and application alerts are “actionable” with self-healing automation where possible
Work with Azure Dev groups to implement, integrate and support new azure features to improve security and automation posture of operating services
Demonstrate complex troubleshooting skills, deep knowledge of the services running on the infrastructure, and working with engineers and partners to resolve issues
Participate in an On-Call rotation as per team’s requirement.
Skillset
Knowledge of Windows Operating System, migration/upgrades
Knowledge in DevOps, Ci-CD and Infra as code
Clear understanding of networking services, technologies and protocols (SSL, TLS, DNS, LDAP, etc.) required
Strong written and oral communication skills required
Troubleshooting windows operating system, windows services and basic networking issues
Experience in managing Linux Operating Systems, if any, is added advantage.
Qualifications
B.E/M.E in Computer Science or related technical Certifications, preferred
4+ years of hands-on experience in managing Active Directory, DNS, ADFS, PKI services.
2+ years of hands-on experience in managing Azure Infrastructure and DevOps
2+years’ of service automation using scripting tools (Power Shell/Python/Bash)
