Full Job Description
We are currently accepting applications for a full-time regular Human Resources Advisor – HR/OHS.
The primary areas of responsibility for this position are to provide a range of human resource services to management and employees within MHC in accordance with staffing principles, collective agreements, policies and procedures. The primary focus for this position is to provide operational and administrative support to the HR Director, OHS Manager and OHS functions, as well as the recruitment and onboarding processes. This position will also deliver program services in employee engagement and recognition and will conduct research and provide support for collective bargaining and labour relations.
Minimum Qualifications:
A certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, OH&S or a related field OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Minimum 2 years related experience in an automated HRIS and union environment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work well with team members in an environment with pressing deadlines.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient computer and database skills. Knowledge of and experience with PowerSchool and Unit 4 Business World is an asset.
A self-starter, with demonstrated initiative and flexibility.
Equivalent combinations of post-secondary education and work experience may be considered.
