Job Description
Abstract diagnostic data and report ICD-10 codes
Abstract other information – as applicable to the project – from electronic and handwritten medical records in accordance with established CMS and client-specific guidelines for MRA coding.
Requires a strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM diagnostic coding and HCC documentation requirements.
Work as part of a team and achieve the team quality and productivity standards
Understand the causes of claim denials and continually improve coding standards
Document feedback on errors in clinical documentation at a facility and physician specific levels
Adhere to MBW’s information security guidelines
Be in the center of ethical behavior and never on the sidelines
Candidate Profile
Graduate in Life sciences with sound knowledge/understanding of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, Physiology and Coding principles.
General coding guidelines & HCC knowledge with 1-4 years experience in Risk adjustment coding.
Certifications desired CRC certification from AAPC/AHIMA
Medicare Risk Adjustment (HCC) coding experience is required with indepeth knowledge in ICD-10 Coding guidelines.
Freshers with a good knowledge in medical terminology, Human Anatomy and Physiology can apply
Good knowledge of client specific process rules and regulatory requirements
