Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
4+ years of experience providing infrastructure support
Strong technical expertise and administration experience on Microsoft IIS version 8 or higher
Experience in two or more of the following: SQL Server knowledge, Akamai Kona Defender, SOC audits or SMTP management
Technical and administration experience on.NET technologies including support of our global middleware software platforms primarily based on IIS Application server
Experience in deployments of new applications (Go Cd or Octopus) and troubleshooting of existing applications on the before mentioned software platforms
Experience in administration and support of the Single Sign On (Okta) infrastructure, monitoring systems (Splunk) and its integration with the ticketing system as well as several tools that support the IT functions (CMDB, Confluence, GitHUB)
Hands-on experience of Windows and Linux server operating systems, host virtualization and IP networking concepts
Scripting experience in PowerShell or python to automate repetitive tasks
Experience on cloud computing including scalability, adaptability, extensibility and manageability
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Who You’ll Work With
You will be based in our Gurgaon office as part of our Managed Infrastructure Services (MIS), an entity within McKinsey’s worldwide IT organization, responsible for managing the firm’s entire global IT infrastructure and applications. You will be part of a global team, maintaining the full stack infrastructure, engineering and administration for McKinsey’s Survey Platform. The MIS Survey Platforms team has members in the northeastern US, Costa Rica and Gurgaon, India.
What You’ll Do
You will provide operational support to survey developers.
In this role, you will help the team support over 30 Windows and Linux servers, create VIPs, update SSL certs, make DNS updates, modify firewall rules, improve various Akamai security products, perform basic SQL Server activities, maintain Soc2 type2 standards for audits and sustain a clustered SMTP tool.
You will be checking ticketing/communication systems and collaborating within the team to work on incoming requests (e.g. account maintenance, general troubleshooting, software patching, networking issues, security concerns) and other similar demands related to the survey system overall. You will be working on projects consisting of short to medium timeframe as required by the system (e.g. version upgrades, software installs, more detailed maintenance and security initiatives). Some of these include improvements to Akamai CDN and related security, monthly windows patching, SQL upgrades, SOC audits, Windows server upgrades, firewall upgrades and network management. Your working hours are generally typical business hours but will require some weekend, holiday and after hours work, dependent on the situation.
You will share “on call” support duties which will require assigned periods where your role is the first point of call for any emergency or critical issue.
