SUPERVISOR’S JOB TITLE: Senior Chemist/Associate Scientist
Job Scope/ Summary:
Work in color matching group and participate in all group activities
Provide and maintain accurate data and records for different color matching projects
Provide analysis and conclusion of work performed
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Good Knowledge of Paint formulation and test method (BSTM) Able to perform all color matching work/project (learn color calculations, tinting, QC, drawdown making, testing, data analysis and update without errors) and report to supervisor Able to use color calculation sheet to convert color formulas as per requirements Should have/develop good understanding of color theory, metamerism, L,a,b values, reflectance curves and basics of spectrophotometer Able to formulate colors with minimum errors for color matching projects Should be able to judge correction given by X-rite by applying logic and should have good color matching skills Should be able to develop good sense of visual color matching Understand the role of calibration set and able to perform TM127
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES RECOMMENDED FOR POSITION:
Follow company ethics, protocol & safety Good excel skills, report writing skills & presentation skill Performing all the assigned work by project leader/supervisor Maintain effective communication about lab related activities Able to develop good interaction within department
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
Educational attainment equivalent to bachelor’s degree in science or relevant field (B.Sc.,) Minimum 6months to 1yr of experience in the preparation and testing of paints/ color or relevant field
