Prepare post-mission flight log s and reports Assist Aerial Survey Pilot in exercising professional judgment at the job site in determining conditions and procedures under which data collection will be performed Perform initial quality assessment in the field to assure data meets c lient specifications. Coordinate with Aviation Manager to determine if re-flights are required Have a fundamental knowledge of computer operations and the aptitude to operate high-tech sensors during flight as well as data processing software in the office or hotel room Be willing to travel up to extensively, for long periods, with minimal notice Can make independent decisions in an environment with little or no direct supervision Perform operational duties associated with the acquisition of air borne LiDAR and imagery (airborne LiDAR and camera system operation) Coordinate flying missions with the survey pilot or aircraft provider Quality control of acquired data Carry out flight planning duties for operations Technical qualifications in Li DAR and camera systems and or spatial science and or photography Comfortable operating in unpressurised light aircraft at various altitudes for extended periods Operating knowledge of aerial survey sensors and flight planning software Advanced comput er skills with an emphasis on MS based software Qualifications B.E B.Tech M.E M.Tech – Geoinformatics Remote Sensing 2 years relevant experience (desired)
