What’s the job?
A Research Manager has their finger on the pulse of the gaming industry. You’ll be using your previous experience in analysing market trends to pull usable insights from numerous sources, and find trends others might miss.

What you will really be doing
Create and manage the process by which we conduct our research
Assess market trends and make recommendations to our publishing team on which opportunities to pursue and which to decline
Study and evaluate competitor business strategies, making recommendations for changes to our processes and procedures
Evaluate gaming content for fit with the market and inclusion of key game features for financial success
Partner with other teams to formulate plans that have the best chance of success
Evaluate business opportunities and conduct due diligence on potential business partners we are planning to work with
Identify and negotiate the use of industry research tools
How you will be doing this
You’ll be part of an agile, multidisciplinary and creative team and work closely with them to ensure the best results.
You’ll think creatively and be motivated by challenges and constantly striving for the best.
You’ll work with cutting edge technology, if you need software or hardware to get the job done efficiently, you will get it. We even have a robot!

You’ll work within an extremely experienced, passionate and diverse team, including David Darling and the creator of the Micro Machines video games.
Skills and Requirements
Previous experience of conducting research within a gaming or tech company
An advanced degree in a related field
Experience in managing a team of researchers is an advantage
A keen interest in video games and the market, particularly in the mobile space
Previous experience of managing tech or gaming PR for an established company
Familiarity with industry tools and data providers
Comfortable presenting to business leaders and area experts
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams to develop PR opportunities
A can-do attitude and ability to move projects forward even when outcomes may not be clear
