Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patient or client
Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.
Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards.
Coordinate recipe development and standardization and develop new menus for independent food service operations.
Develop policies for food service or nutritional programs to assist in health promotion and disease control.
Select, train and supervise workers who plan, prepare and serve meals.
Advise organizations on sanitation, safety procedures, menu development, budgeting, and planning to assist with the establishment, operation, and evaluation of food service facilities and nutrition program.
Organize, develop, analyze, test, and prepare special meals such as low-fat, low-cholesterol and chemical-free meals.
Test new food products and equipment.
Explain nutrition issues.
Develop meal plans, according to patient’s requirement and cost.
Evaluate the effects of meal plans and change the plans as needed.
Promote better nutrition by giving talks to groups about diet, nutrition, and the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases.
Keep up with the latest nutritional science research.
Assess patients’ and clients’ health needs and diet.
Counsel patients on nutrition issues and healthy eating habits.
Evaluate the effects of meal plans and change the plans as needed.
Providing nutritional care to patients in various disease states and conditions.
Clinical dietitians monitor, assess, and optimize nutrition status based on the patient’s current medical condition and/or nutrition adequacy.
Confer with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate medical and nutritional needs, and they make recommendations for tube and intravenous feedings and/or dietary supplements.
Diet counseling during discharge of patients.
Develops nutrition care plans and monitors patient response to care plan developed.
Provides inpatient discharge diet instructions.
Keeps thorough and updated information on patient profile sheets.
Provides diet consultations as ordered by physicians.
Collaborates with physician and nursing to deliver quality nutrition care.
Visits patients with special dietary needs.
Documents clinical productivity.
Provides billing for patient nutritional services to the finance department.
Give daily report to finance department.
Monitor nbm patient and give report to finance department .
Provides needed in-services as assigned and provide copies as required
