We’re really excited to be expanding our infrastructure platform development team, and we’re looking for hands on, full stack software engineers from all technical backgrounds, with expertise specifically in AWS public cloud. In return we’ll help you expand your skills as you’ll be working as part of a Global team, developing and supporting an innovative cloud-based technology platform for the firm.
We are looking for commercially minded, customer obsessed, hands on engineers, who want to be a part of building something from the ground up with us. A core responsibility is to produce secure, scalable technical solutions to support our bleeding edge products.
The success of this business relies on the platform that will be built – we will be using a stack that is cloud native relying on cutting edge technology and seek full stack minded engineers.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Deploying, securing and supporting cloud infrastructure solutions to meet application developer requirements
Working with and designing automation solutions at scale – particularly infrastructure deployment and testing
Build tools to allow for continuous integration and development
Configuration management across all our services and the various environments
Release engineering ( Branching, versioning, tagging, source control event hooks )
Help develop/implement cloud security strategies for the firm
Application performance monitoring, logging and testing
Required Skills/Experience
Public cloud experience with AWS ( other providers also beneficial )
A strong software engineering background ( TDD, CI/CD, Design patterns )
Container Orchestration/Virtualization Experience ( Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm or Mesos )
Understanding of core concepts for public cloud ( network, security, IAM, etc. )
Dev and CI/CD tools experience ( Terraform, Jenkins, Artifactory, Spinnaker, Atlassian, Git )
In-Depth OS Experience particularly RHEL ( others beneficial )
Strong experience with resilience and performance testing environment set-up & management
Working in an Agile environment
Preferred Experience/Skill
Exposure to modern database technologies including CockroachDB is desirable
Working knowledge of cloud-native monitoring platforms ( Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, ElasticSearch, Distributed tracing eg Jaeger )
Security tools automation experience ( OWASP ZAP, etc. )
Experience and knowledge of any of the following would be an advantage:
Financial Services products and the digital and mobile technologies used to deliver them
Mobile build, testing and delivery pipelines
Understanding encryption and the principles/practices behind it
