Job Description
This is a remote position.
About the position:
We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer to lead our product team at Intelehealth. As a tech non-profit we care deeply about building scalable, user-friendly and open source products that drive health system transformation at the last mile. As telemedicine is a growing market we have an every increasing list of projects and customers who want to use our technology. We are looking for a CTO who can help us expand the impact of our organization by developing great tech that is in alignment with Intelehealth’s strategic objectives.
We continuously look for top-talent for our product team – people who want to solve complex problems, continually learn, and most importantly, make a real impact in the lives of others. Successful candidates should excel at working with diverse groups of stakeholders, leading a team of engineers, and developing roadmaps that will create value for stakeholders. The CTO must be passionate about our mission, excited to deliver a great product with a small team and have a diverse skillset. Start-up experience will be a big plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Build a clear technology vision, roadmap and target architecture that is scalableResponsible for the overall development life cycle of product featuresWork with the Director of Product Development and Product Managers in developing a strategy and road map to provide capabilities for the platform across stakeholders that help them succeed in their business goals.Work closely with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedulesTrack record in leadership and development of direct reportsExperience in driving operational excellence – monitoring & operation of production servicesOversee the continued product development of our technology suite. Lead all phases of product development, including requirements gathering, functional specification, technical design, project planning, integration, test planning, implementation planning, and product delivery.Lead regular release planning, release management, and solution validation.Maintain the Product Roadmap.Ensuring technologies are used efficiently, profitably and securely.Develop and ensure adherence to product development and project delivery processes and methods in order to maintain timelinesEnsure that overall IT portfolio risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies are appropriately managed and communicated to stakeholders.Hiring and developing a top-notch engineering team.A trusted partner to the CEO & COO and other peers in the management team.A commitment to diversity and inclusion in team-building. Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or IT from a reputed technology institute
Additional advanced degree in Management, such as an MBA is preferred.
Experience:
10-15 years of overall experience in software engineering
At least 4-8 years of product management experience including several years of leading a team of engineers
Skill Sets:
Software Skills – You have a strong knowledge of the full stack of our technology – Android, JavaScript, AngularJS, NodeJS, SQL, Automating Tools
Strong knowledge of cloud based architecture and experience with AWS and
Azure.
Strong knowledge of Opensource technology development is highly preferred.
You are a contributor to an opensource project or you have worked on the
development of open source technology.
Significant mobile/web architecture experience with proven in market deployment
Experienced in driving product development through Agile methodology
