Come and join us. Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join the BXD (Barefoot Switching Division) in our Network and Edge Group (NEX) as a Compiler Engineer. We’re part of the Connectivity Group (CG) in Intel’s NEX, and are looking for motivated, passionate and talented software engineers to join our software team in Bangalore.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, debugging and testing compiler software and programming languages e.g. advanced compiler optimizations and features specific for Intel Architectures, parallelization and vectorization through compilers and new programming languages support. The role may require working directly with hardware design team, companies and communities developing compilers, participate in language and standard groups.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or related field plus 6 years of industry experience or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science plus 8 years of industry experience
2 plus years of experience in C programming
2 plus years of experience in system software architecture design implementation and debugging
2 plus years of experience and understanding of all aspects of a compiler and related development and debugging technologies especially code generation program analysis and pipeline optimizations
Additional Preferred Qualifications
PhD is preferred
2 plus years of experience in:
Optimizing compiler backends register allocation code scheduling
Proficiency with code versioning systems such as github
Contributing to open source projects
Networking applications
Program synthesis and verification
Domain specific language design and implementation
Hardware modeling and simulation tools
Constraint satisfaction problem solving techniques
Continuous integration frameworks Jenkins Travis
